Girls Shopping

Have you ever met a girl of any age that dislikes shopping? Yes, there are probably a few cases, such as grocery shopping or – well, maybe that's it. Girls shopping for just about anything else are likely having a good time.

Up until recently, even grocery shopping could be fun, so long as you did it at the right time of day or night, when you didn't have to put up with a crush of shoppers running over your foot on every aisle. Grocery prices have recently made this girls shopping trip distinctly un-fun. Happily, there is the rest of the shopping scene which girls can embrace with gusto.

Men often have trouble comprehending the delights women and girls find in spending a day shopping. Men typically consider shopping more of a task than fun. Go out, get what you need and be done with it is a man's philosophy. However, any guy who's been alive more than ten years is aware of the penchant for girls and shopping. They learn to live with it.

Plenty of the female population, around the world, regularly indulges in a girls shopping day. It's a hobby. Even if we don't have money, we can still go window shopping. Window shopping is a time honored activity we girls have integrated into our busy lives. If you can't buy, you can look and make additions to your wish list.

A girls shopping trip can be planned around nothing more than hitting the outlet stores for bargains on shoes, underwear, hand bags or any other item that falls within your eyesight and budget. Even the severely cramped shopping budget can handle a new hair accessory.

The girls shopping trip can be no more eventful than finding an irresistible, cute kitty-shaped hair barrette and a pair of costume earrings. Girls are adept at squeezing a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon out of this tiny bag of purchases.

How can this be, says the baffled boyfriend or spouse? They puzzle, then think no more about this mysterious and funny quirk of girls shopping. They are not privy to the hours of browsing the junior's rack of dresses, jeans and other things they may not be able to buy.

The girls can giggle over absurd outfits, ponder how they might next week fit into those foxy jeans. They might try on dozens of shoes which they ultimately don't buy. The shoes simply provide a foil for a good gossip session.

Just in case you're a guy reading this, smugly thinking what a silly occupation is this girls shopping routine, think again. Shopping is a therapeutic activity for women. If they didn't go shopping, they might take out this frustration on you!
