Home & Family
Home and family considerations cover a wide variety of topics and
areas of interest to parents and children. In general, the family and
home is one unit but divided into the income earning and caregiving in
the family. As parents, we give considerable time and love to our
children from the time they are born and through their teen and older
years.
It is critically important that we develop and maintain solid
relationships in our home and family with each other as parents and with
our children. Their are many rewarding experiences to gain as we spend
time with our kids. This includes joy, satisfaction and opportunities
for growth.
In a home and family setting, it can be beneficial and useful to
communicate with other parents about their feelings and insights about
parenting concerns and issues. The parent-to-parent mentorship can have
wonderful results in helping each other and the community strengthing.
MOthers and fathers are very interested in making certain their children
receive quality care and attention during their formative years. Families
typically choose different ways of providing this care to their children
depending on the unique situations of the parents in income earning and
caregiving responsibilities.
There are many factors (tangible and intangile) in any parent relationship
that influence how home and family considerations are handled. In a marriage,
equality of the parents is not divided based on the income earning and
caregiving hours spent by each parent.
Some of the concerns with the typical home and family environment include
(but not limited to): working at home, family struggles, budeting motherhood,
marriage and parenting dilemmas.
