These financial methods include credit, mutual funds, private equity and hedging. All financial investments, also known as assets, need to be carefully managed in order to control the financial risks associated with assets.

There are different types of financial instruments that are typically traded os security assets on the stock market exchanges. These instruments also include bonds and traded equity in public corporations.

A public or private company can invest its excess income in the financial markets if income is greater than expenses. If their is a loss in operations, a company can raise money by selling equity in the company or borrow funds from a lender.
