I have a wonderful collection of songs on my computer. Music is very important to me, and I was glad to have the opportunity to search for hard to find tunes on my computer through Napster a few years ago. Since then, sites that offer free music are illegal and you can get into a lot of trouble for stealing songs online. One average, each song costs about one dollar. Each compact disc you burn from songs on your computer can hold about twenty songs. If you bought an entire CD for each of the twenty songs, you would pay hundreds of dollars.

Napster is still available for people who like downloading music online but there are other options for people who want to shop around for the most reasonable price. Rhapsody is an excellent source for music. This site has a plethora of songs available by various artists for a minimal cost. You may be surprised to discover that Wal-Mart offers online music downloads as well.

Though the days of free music downloads seems to have come to an end, a person can still find just about any song he wants with a little effort. Finding songs online is still the most economically sound way to find your tunes and create you own collection of CDs that you are sure to enjoy.
