The ebook “How to Write and Publish your own eBook in as little as 7 Days” was written by Jim Edwards and Joe Vitale. They are two of the biggest names in online marketing. The main theme in this ebook is that you can write and publish an informational product “even if you can’t write, can’t type and failed high school English class.” That is a very bold statement! The book delivers excellent content and definitely lives up to its’ promise.

I read and evaluated this book with great interest. It was put together with the writing novice in mind. You could hear the teacher telling you throughout the book “let me take you by the hand and e xplain everything.” The net result was that everything was explained so that you can write your own ebook with the information and direction provided.

The information was put together in a very straightforward manner and very easy to read and understand. No area was left to the imagination and each part of the process was explained in explicit detail. There are items to complete in the ebook to keep you stay connected with the material being taught.

The book contains 208 pages: (1) the first 97 pages deal with the actual “how to” subject matter, (2) the next 77 pages are devoted to interviews with the authors of some high profile ebooks and (3) the final 34 pages contain excellent bonus reports.

An ebook (or electronic book) is an informational product. It can be stored and distributed electronically. Ebooks are used with great success by the top Internet marketing gurus. The publishing of an ebook does not require any cost except for the time the author spends in creating the content for the book. This is a huge benefit. You only need a word processor to generate an ebook. A good ebook compilation software program can help in the creation process but is not mandatory. Because an ebook is distributed electronically over the Internet, you essentially avoid all the normal costs (i.e., storing, shipping and handling) that go hand-in-hand with regular books.

The main areas discussed in “How to Write and Publish your own Ebook in as little as 7 Days” includes: (a) why write an ebook, (b) success versus failure, (c) picking a topic, (d) writing your ebook in 7 days and (e) writing versus editing.

The authors identify why you would want to write an ebook as being: (a) to make money, (b) to impress your customers or for prestige, or (c) as a lead-in to another sale or as a follow-up sale to your existing customers.

The book talks about the process of defining what constitutes failure and success in creating an ebook. In the failure process, you: (a) write a book, (b) look for a market, (c) look for inspiration from above and (d) get mad and give up. In the success process, you: (a) identify a niche market, (b) analyze the wants, needs and problems of the niche market, (c) write a book that satisfies the niche market, and (d) market the book to the niche market.

The authors stress why you need to pick a topic that will sell before You start writing your ebook. The last thing to do is to write a book and then try to find someone to buy it. Figure out what your potential customers search for on the Internet and whether your target audience is large enough to support the profitable sale of your proposed ebook. There are certain topics that are high on the list of demand by potential ebook purchasers. You will find out how to proceed in this area.

The typical objections to writing an ebook are discussed: (a) you can’t write, (b) you don’t have anything to write about and (c) you don’t want to write a big book. You will discover how to overcome these objections by developing a list of potential ideas before you start your writing process. This process then evolves into writing (without editing) your information in the initial version of your book. You will discover that the biggest hurdles encountered in writing an ebook is: (a) your desire to edit your ebook text as you write it and (b) seeing the writing project as being too big. The next step in creating your ebook is the process of organizing and editing the material you wrote.

Now that you have your ebook completed, the ebook explains how to get it published for distribution on the Internet. There are certain things that need to be done and this is where you find the questions and answers.

This completes the review of the ebook “How to Write and Publish your own eBook in as little as 7 Days.”

The next question is “Is it worth it?” In a nutshell “Without reservation, I highly recommend this ebook to the novice and experienced writer.” It contains highly informative information and the actual step-by-step method to get the job done in a short period of time.

If you are interested in writing and publishing an ebook, this is the book to buy.
